If this is not cool, nothing is.

Workers in Turkey have uncovered a huge underground city of tunnels lit by oil lamps with room for more than 20,000 people.

The completely accidental discovery was uncovered in Cappadocia while workers were moving piles of earth.

They found the entrance to a vast underground labyrinth underneath homes which were due for demolition.

Those in the know seem to think the tunnel network could date back some 5000 years and was built to protect occupants from religious wars in the region.

This new discovery will be added as a new pearl, a new diamond, a new gold.Mayor Hasan Unver

Renovation works have been called off while archaeologists investigate the tunnels.
