* When using your laptop on AC power in over extended periods, the battery should be removed, and stored in a cool place so that it is not affected by heat produced by the computer.

A recovery cd/DVD is a special mix of software customized to suite your laptop which typically consists of the operating system + drivers + utilities. A recovery cd/dvd is considered to be superior to a general windows disc as it provides the end-user with more convenience & a total solution when a re-installation of the operating system is required.

At MLN we recommend that customers check with software vendors (manufacturers) and find out what the minimum hardware requirements are and base their shopping around that information. MLN may be able to tell you what hardware is required for common software applications on the market. It is best to never assume compatibility and check with your sales representative before you commit to a laptop purchase.

If an operating system is included in the package this generally means the notebook vendor (laptop manufacturer) has already incorporated the cost of this software in the manufacturing process and the cost has been passed down in the supply chain to the retailer. There for taking out the operating system software for products that are already bundled with one will not lower the sale price to consumers.
