Acer Aspire 6920G - Laptop / Notebook
The Aspire 6920G (AS6920G) belongs to the just announced Aspire Gemstone Blue entertainment laptop series, with advanced multimedia features, an innovative design, and the latest Intel Centrino processing technology.
The AS6920G includes a 16″ display either with 1920×1080 or 1366×768 resolution, and 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. The screen is managed by the latest NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS 512MB dedicated video card.
This laptop utilizes various audio technologies, including Dolby Home Theater, CineSurround, Tuba CineBass booster, and True 5.1 output.
“Acer CineSurround blasts virtual 5.1 surround sound through two speakers and the Acer Tuba CineBass booster; to set-up a True 5.1 surround system you just need to plug in three pairs of PC speakers, follow the simple steps of the eAudio setup application, and the immersive experience of True 5.1 surround sound becomes a home theater reality,” Acer’s press release says.
Other multimedia features include a Blu-ray optical drive or a DVD burner, an HDMI output with HDCP support, and an optional TV tuner.
Regarding its design, the Aspire 6920 comes with the brand new CineDash media console, a touch-sensitive interface for navigating menus, adjusting volume and controlling multimedia. The laptop also has the multi-layered, shimmering 3D finish, contrasting textures, a “chic” blue, black and silver color scheme, and interior/exterior lighting effects.
This laptop sports an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB of system memory, up to 320GB hard drive, the Intel 4965AGN wireless module, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth, and 56k modem connections, as well as a built in web camera and fingerprint reader.
Along with an HDMI port, the Acer Aspire 6920G provides an ExpressCard slot, four USB ports, a 6-in-1 media card reader, VGA output, and an infrared receiver.
