Drop, shock, moisture, dust, temperature, pressure and vibration-resistant technology has been increased to Mil-STD-810G and IP65 standards. Lightweight, yet fully rugged to survive extreme conditions

Weighing in at just 3.72 kg, the CF-31 is light enough to take anywhere and even the most intense environments are no match for this durable Toughbook. The LCD is protected by a scratch-resistant magnesium alloy case and the hard drive is enclosed in a shock-absorbing damper, while a flexible elasatomeric sealant ensures that all key areas of the casing meet IP65 water and dust-resistance standards.

High performance and long battery life allow mobile professionals to go further

The integrated Intel® Core™ i5-520M Processor technology promises the highest performance with efficient energy consumption, and the high-performance lithium-ion battery provides an operating time of up to 11 hours. Thanks to our own anechoic chamber, the dual diversity wireless antennae in the display housing are highly tuned to deliver optimum data transfer, enabling you to stay connected at all times.

120 cm {48 in} free-fall tests^*1(CF-31) and 90 cm {36 in} free-fall tests^*1(CF-19/CF-H2) are conducted. From material to construction—tough body: The hard disk is protected by special shock absorbing material (dampers), and the main body is made from impact resistant magnesium alloy. Because the tough design of the main body is tested to withstand falls from about 120 cm {48 in}^*1(CF-31), 90 cm {36 in}^*1(CF-19/CF-H2) even in challenging environments, work still can be done on that PC. Then, when moving from one location to another, there is no need to worry about putting the PC in a case. You can just take it with you as is.

Seamless Sealing design prevent the penetration of water and dust^*2: The design features seamless sealing all around the body and a splash resistant keyboard. Even the connectors are protected by a metal door with a rubber seal. The computer resists the entry of water or dust from any direction. Outdoors, you can use it without worrying about sudden showers or blowing dust.

Splash-proof cover protects the ports from dust and water splatter^*2: The frequently used connectors such as LAN and USB are protected from the inside by sealant. For the other ports, a metal door with a rubber seal provides protection against the penetration of water drop and dust. The connector sections are also protected against impact damage after falling.
