6 Things That Always Happen On Call Of Duty Multiplayer
The Call of Duty series is one of the most successful gaming franchises ever, and we’ll bet our bottom dollar that the majority of you have owned a copy and played online multiplayer at some stage.
However, things don’t always go to plan when it comes to playing with people from all over the world, for a number of reasons. So, because we all love the greatest shooter ever, we’ve taken a trip down memory lane and gathered together a few things that always happen on Call of Duty multiplayer.
Enjoy!
1) Camping
The classic. We’ve all been there: you’re on a big, open map in an intense game of Search & Destroy. You could go out all guns blazing, but you’re not an idiot, so you find yourself a nice, cosy spot, set up camp and wait. And wait. And wait, until a fellow unsuspecting gamer wanders past and you blow his head off with absolutely no mercy. As the game goes on, you sit tight and hold your position, wreaking havoc from your corner of sanctity. On the flip side, there’s absolutely nothing worse than being repeatedly killed by a camper. Nothing. Not even stubbing your toe on a coffee table.

2) Quick-scopers
Often regarded as a fine art, quick scoping requires incredible sleight of hand as well as an eye for a kill. Not only can these virtual assassins kill you from a distance with their Barrett .50 cal, they can also end your game in an instant as you walk around a corner and get a bullet straight between the eyes. Although the world’s quick-scopers are undoubtedly very skilled, that doesn’t stop them from being really f*cking irritating. Not to be confused with 360 no-scopers, who will literally spin around 360 degress before firing their sniper rifle in your direction in the hope of getting an easy kill. T*ts.

3) Noob-tubers
Without a shadow of a doubt the least intelligent Call Of Duty players, the noob-tuber is the gaming equivalent of a chav, running around, causing trouble and generally being an annoyance to the community. Armed with their grenade-launching attachment they serve no purpose other than to p*ss other gamers off, firing grenades across the map or at close range. Unless stopped quickly, their ideals can spread like a virus, infecting other players and resulting in the whole game descending into chaos.

4) Getting abuse from other gamers in the pre-game lobby
Would any online game be the same without people abusing one another in a pre-game lobby? Usually resulting in a couple of 12-year-old kids having a slanging match about whose Mum’s fitter, if you’re looking for a bit of easy entertainment the lobby is the place to be. This is usually the place where noob-tubers, quick-scopers and campers are called out, receiving a barrage of abuse from fellow gamers. Well, what did they expect?

5) People who have seriously dodgy gamer tags
From time to time, you’ll come across a hardcore gamer. These are the kind of guys that get paid to play and are the best of the best, the elite. However, in the wake of such gamers joining the rest of the public to play, copycats spring up, usually featuring gamer tags like this: x360xNOxScOpEx420x. What is that?! It’s not your name! Can you imaging someone’s Mum shouting up the staris, “Come on x360xNOxScOpEx420x, tea’s ready!” No, neither can we. Don’t be that guy.

6) Knives and riot shields
Rendering someone almost un-killable, a riot shield is the bane of many people’s lives. You can spend a good 10 minutes hunting a certain son of a b*tch down after trying to get behind his bloody shield and get your points for a kill. Where’s the fun in hiding in a corner for the whole game?

We’ve probably missed some here, so if there’s anything you think we should include, have your say in the comments!
